Medical Radiation Sciences
This discipline comprises two major programs concerning ultrasound technology and x-ray systems. Research focuses on improving the accuracy of various imaging technologies and training technicians in the operation of ultrasound and x-ray systems.
Paramedic
Current research in paramedic science is investigating paramedic education (vocational and university based); issues relating to paramedic practice (procedures and pharmacology); and infection control, specifically immunisation.
Pharmacy
The areas of research encompassed by the Discipline of Pharmacy are broad and include clinical and non-clinical projects that relate to the discovery of new drugs, their mechanism of actions, optimizing the formulation of drugs, understanding therapeutic applications and identifying the quality use of medicines to provide better healthcare to patients and manage the costs to the government and consumer.

Podiatry
This discipline explores the management of foot and lower limb disorders for sufferers of chronic disease. Researchers are also examining foot orthoses with a focus on preventing injury to the lower limbs, particularly injuries to tendons, muscles and bones in the lower leg and foot.
