Thesis title: “Are we missing opportunities: Understanding health behaviours associated with overweight in pregnancy”
The New Beginnings Healthy Mothers and Babies Study will focus on understanding health behaviours in pregnant women and examine how these might be different according to pre-pregnancy weight status. The study aims to examine the prevalence of excess gestational weight gain and describe psychosocial factors associated with healthy eating, physical activity, and gestational weight gain in a cohort of Queensland women. The New Beginnings Healthy Mothers and Babies Study recruited just over 700 women early in pregnancy, following participants until 16 weeks post partum.

Thesis title: Parental Feeding Practices of Indian Mothers Residing in Mumbai and Australia
Synopsis: If parents teach their children to eat healthy foods in the early years, children can learn to make suitable food choices, which can lead to healthy weight status in childhood and adult years. Therefore, the current research attempts to investigate early child feeding practices among Indian mothers residing in Australia and India.
