Ms Pauline Calleja Lecturer (School of Nursing), Queensland University of Technology

Ms Robyn Fox, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital

Ms Donna Bonney, Mater Health Services

This project aims to improve the quality of student learning in the clinical setting through strengthening the clinical leadership capacity of staff involved in the clinical facilitation and supervision of undergraduate nursing students.  A key aspect of the project will be the development, implementation and evaluation of a sustainable Clinical Education leadership model for capacity-building of staff involved in the clinical facilitation and supervision of undergraduate nursing students. The model and accompanying resources developed through this project will be informed by critical iterative feedback from a national network of clinical course coordinators and key stakeholders to ensure that project outcomes have the potential for mainstreaming across the sector.
