What does a Health Services Manager do?

Health Service Managers are responsible for the business of health care. Their skills are used to develop strategies to maximise the efficient and effective delivery of health services in a diverse range of health settings. Health is a global industry and graduates have a range of employment options in both the public and private sector and an opportunity to make an important contribution to the future of health services nationally and internationally. Health services practitioners work as health service or health administration managers or officers, project officers, health insurance workers, and human resource managers.

Course Highlights

The Bachelor of Health Science (Health Services Management) is designed for people who want to join the health care industry in an administrative or managerial capacity. It is also a valuable qualification for people already working in the health industry to upgrade their management knowledge and skills.

Lecturers have strong industry links, which provide students with project opportunities during the course of their study. Students have excellent opportunities for networking with industry professionals through their project work as well as the mentor program that is available to health services management students.
